Ragweed Allergy
During the late summer and the early fall more than 32 million people will suffer from one of the many common seasonal allergies – ragweed. The ragweed allergy it caused by the pollen that comes from the ragweed plant – which will become airborne and travel throughout the area.
Because it is a weed it will grow freely and with no help throughout many parts of the United States and is one of the most out of control weeds. It is more commonly seen in rural areas of the Midwestern and eastern states and in areas that so not have other types of vegetation.
Although they only will survive through one season they are able to release close to one billion grains of pollen. They are very light and therefore are able to be carried for miles through the air.
